Camp Illahaw is a week-long Horse and Adventure camp located in St. Cloud, Florida at the 4700 acre Crescent J Ranch and Forever Florida wildlife conservation area. Boys and Girls ages 10-15 years experience life on a real Florida ranch and explore Forever Florida’s 9 diverse ecosystems. They learn Horseback skills, enjoy fun outdoor activities and make memories to last a lifetime. All of this located just a short drive from Orlando, Kissimmee, Tampa and Melbourne!
New for 2009, campers will have a chance to experience the Zipline Safari! They’ll take to the treetops, 55’ off the ground for a two and a half hour adventure reaching speeds up to 25 mph! As with all activities, they’ll be under the watchful eye of their camp directors and guides assuring a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Campers will also enjoy the brand new Camp Illahaw dormitories! Set up in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800's, the new dorms and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities.
With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between weeks.
With Sensitivity to the current economic conditions, we here at Camp Illahaw's Summer Adventure Camp, are offering 8, one-week sessions, June 14th through August 8th for a reduced price of just $450.00 per session, instead of our normal $675.00 per session. That's a savings of $225 per camper! It's just our way of keeping the important experience of summer camp in reach for all families. It's also our way of saying thanks to our families that book with us year after year.
Camp Illahaw offers campers the chance to experience all that Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of activities. Choose from nature activities, like our Swamp Trek or Nature and Animal Lore, Horseback Riding and Arena Activities, Florida Heritage Programs, Field Sports, and our very own unique Outdoor Survival Program. At Camp Illahaw, we not only concentrate on the campers activities but also their social interactions. Camp Illahaw hosts campers from around the world, not just Florida, so campers meet and play with campers from a diversity of cultures.
30% of the revenues from Camp Illahaw are donated to a non-profit conservation fund that supports the Forever Florida wildlife conservation area. It's a great way to teach the kids about social responsibility and conservation. The best part is that it assures that our campers kids and grandkids will be able to enjoy the pristine wonder of Florida's wilderness just like the Summer 2009 campers are about to!
